United Eswatini Diaspora

Empowering Swazi Citizens for Democratic Reforms and Human Rights Advocacy

United Eswatini Diaspora is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental organization dedicated to fighting for human rights and working towards justice, democratic governance, and Inclusive government in Eswatini.

The United Eswatini Diaspora (UED) is legally registered in the Republic of South Africa as a non-profit organization.

United Eswatini Diaspora; Championing justice, freedom, and human rights for a fair and inclusive Eswatini. The organization was founded to help protect the rights of Swazi citizens after the Eswatini Police, Defense Force and Correctional Services Officers brutally killed more than 100 unarmed civilians. The sin of these citizens was to call for democratic reforms and freedom in their mother land.

Swazis lost their lives and many got injured. More than 800 were arrested, including 2 former Members of Parliament. Many others fled Eswatini in fear for their lives. This happened around 29 June 2021.

Our organization has since July 2021 achieved measurable success in bailing out at least thirteen(13) Swazis including children under 17yrs old who were arrested during the unrest. We have successfully assisted with medical attention to fifteen(15) Swazis that were shot and thrown into fires and left to die with bullets in their bodies, these include women and children as young as 9yrs .

United Eswatini Diaspora has also successfully house at least eight (8)who are wanted by the Swazi government for alleged terrorist associated crimes due to the unrest. We anticipate more of our brothers and sisters coming into South Africa seeking refuge and asylum assistance on a weekly basis, currently we are receiving at least three(3) requests for refugee assistance.

To expand our programme and sustain the exiles we desperately need monetary and food contributions to carry forward our ambitious projects in assisting and keeping our brothers and sisters in exile safe.
